I grew up in Scotland and qualified at Dundee University in 2002, before moving down to Nottingham to start work as a dentist. I opened Bottesford Dental Practice in 2011 hoping to improve dental health in the local community and surrounding villages – and to create a dental practice to be proud of.

I really enjoy working as a general dental practitioner, doing different treatments every day and I’m increasing my skills for the future with implant training. When I’m not working I enjoy listening to music and going to concerts and festivals. I like football, but unfortunately for me, I am a big Tottenham Hotspur fan. I love food and going to restaurants and trying different cuisines – and I also like to cook at home. I got married in 2012 to my wife Safeera and we have a little boy Laith who keeps us really busy and entertained.

Tasha Patel

After qualifying in 2017 in Spain, I moved back to England to start working as a general dentist in Nottinghamshire. I joined the Bottesford team in 2019 and now work here full time; I offer a wide range of restorative and cosmetic treatments including short term orthodontic treatment and anti-wrinkle injections.

I love to develop my clinical skills by undertaking regular postgraduate courses; I recently completed a year- long restorative and cosmetic course in London with the Fresh Dental Institute. I love to make my patients feel relaxed and at ease, you’ll always find me with a big smile on my face!

Aum Parekh

Dentist

I graduated from Valencia, Spain in 2020. I have been working in a general dental and emergency clinic before commencing here in Bottesford.

I enjoy all aspects of dentistry and have a keen eye for detail. I find treating nervous patients particularly rewarding and always put my patient’s needs first. My aim is to provide individual, tailored treatment to each and every one of my patients in a relaxed and approachable manner. I love building rapport with my patients and ensure they are involved in their treatment every step of the way, in addition to equipping them with the skills they need to achieve their treatment goals and maintain a healthy mouth.

I am committed to developing my skills further and am currently training in Short-term Orthodontics and have started a Post Graduate Diploma in Restorative Aesthetic Dentistry.

In my spare time, I enjoy keeping fit in the boxing gym, going out on hikes and like to play Cricket. I also love to travel with the view to explore new cultures and experiences abroad.

Zeenat Tahir

I grew up in Nottingham and graduated from the University of Manchester in 2024. Since qualifying, I have worked as a general dentist in Nottingham, gaining experience across a wide range of general dental treatments.

I have recently joined Bottesford, where I enjoy providing comprehensive general dental care for patients of all ages. I have a particular interest in treating paediatric patients and take pride in creating a calm, positive experience for children. I am also very comfortable working with nervous patients and always aim to ensure appointments are as relaxed, gentle, and reassuring as possible.

Outside of dentistry, I enjoy learning how to play new board games and spending time finding the perfect new outfits for my cat.

Practice Administrator / Dental Nurse

I joined Bottesford Dental in 2018 and gained my level 3 diploma in Dental nursing with the practice. Since qualifying I have attended an implant training course for nurses which means I work alongside Furqan placing implants. I have also since been promoted to Practice Administrator where I help the run of the practice and keep everything running smoothly for our patients’ journeys.

I live in Bottesford and have done so for over 15 years! In my spare time I love spending time with my husband and our very energetic labrador cross sheepdog. I am also quite a jet-setter as I have family all over the world. I have been to Canada, Australia, Greece and Spain which are all beautiful places and I’m very fortunate to have been.

I joined Bottesford Dental Practice September 2018. I am experienced and competent in my role as a Dental Nurse, assisting in procedures. Having gained my Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing in 2014 I have worked in the public and private sectors.

My goals are to provide a first class service with our patients’ dental needs, providing reassurance and advice in a relaxing, stress free environment. I am a family orientated individual who enjoys the outdoors and visiting new places, having travelled to Thailand, Australia, Canada, USA and many places in the UK. As much as I enjoy diverse foods, I’m not a very good cook and rely on my partner to do the cooking.

Hi I’m Jenni,

I am originally from Aberdeen in Scotland but have lived in Bottesford for the last 8 years. I trained with NHS Grampian and have had a happy and varied career in Dental nursing.

My great passion is volunteering and I have been to Uganda twice with Dentaid to help those people in a less fortunate position than we will ever find ourselves in.

In my spare time I love walking, reading and travelling, being lucky enough to have visited several lovely places including, Uganda, India, Paris and Venice.

I hope to make your visit to Bottesford Dental as pleasant and relaxing as possible.

I qualified with the NEBDN as a dental nurse in 2018 and have worked in private practices since. I joined Bottesford Dental Practice in June 2023 and have love every minute of it, patients and colleagues have all made me feel very welcome.

I really enjoy building trusting relationships with all patients to give them a reassuring and stress-free experience.

Outside of work I have my son, dog, ex race horse and Shetland pony that all keep me very busy!

I’m Liga, a dental nurse at Bottesford Dental. Music has always been a passion of mine, and I’ve dedicated countless hours to mastering the piano, culminating in Grade 8 qualification. My multilingual skills have allowed me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, enriching my life and broadening my perspectives.

Beyond dentistry, I am a devoted cat owner to my two Ragdoll companions, Luna and Nala. They bring joy and companionship into my life. I find solace in the beauty of nature through hiking and long walks. I’m passionate about my work and love helping patients feel comfortable and at ease. I’m excited to continue learning and growing in my career, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the Bottesford dental team.

I’m driven by a desire to make a positive impact on the world, and I believe that dentistry offers a unique opportunity to do just that. I’m committed to providing compassionate and effective care to my patients, and I’m excited to see where my career will take me.

I spent nearly 20 years at Ragdale Hall, first as a health advisor and then working front of house, dealing with all enquiries ensuring our guest enjoyed their stay with us. I have spent the last 3 years at a GP Surgery and enjoyed helping patients access the care they needed.

I have two wonderful daughters, one of which works here at the practice, the other lives in Canada!

I love the great outdoors, walking my dog. Walking in the Lake District being my favourite!

I love being part of a team all passionate about providing the best care and customer service, providing a relaxed and friendly environment for all our patients.

Receptionist

I spent 20 years in Primary education and was passionate about ensuring the children felt safe and secure and had the best possible learning experiences. I wanted to continue helping others and spent a year as a receptionist at a GP surgery across their various sites.

I have two grown up children and a beautiful granddaughter. I recently moved to Bottesford and enjoy exploring the lovely walks around the village with my cocker spaniel, Amber.

In my spare time I enjoy gardening, crafting and spending time with family and friends.

I enjoy being front of house, welcoming patients to the practice, contributing to making our patients time with us as friendly and relaxed as possible.
